Letter from Chief Editor

Five thousand years ago, herbal doctors in China were
already skilled in the art of ¡°bone setting¡±, forerunner of
what is now known as the practice of orthopedics. The
knowledge accumulated over the millennia, aided by the
influx of Western medical concepts, has resulted in an
uniquely Chinese style of orthopedic theory and
management, especially in the fields of fracture treatment,
replantation, micro-surgery, post-poliomyelitis paralytic
conditions and scoliosis management, et al. The journal of
Orthopedic Journal of China, after experiencing many growing pains, has
become one of the most famous orthopaedic professional journals in China.
We express our heartfelt thanks to the authors who generously contributed to
our journal. Only with all of your help can this Journal hope to thrive.
Editor-in-Chief of OJC
